USAID- Liberia RG3 Project Donates IT Equipment to LRA

first_imgLRA and USAID officials at Donation ceremony of IT Equipment in MonroviaThe United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Project for Revenue Generation for Governance and Growth (RG3), or RG3 Project, has donated sets of information technology (IT) equipment to the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), a release has said.According to the release, the equipment is intended to augment the capacity of the LRA’s data center, including its IT infrastructure.Laura Garnett, USAID Liberia’s Good Governance Team Leader, made the presentation at the entity’s headquarters on Thursday, February 21, 2019. She said those equipment are part of efforts aimed at supporting the work of the LRA, to enhance its tax collection and domestic resource mobilization program.Some of the equipment on display.LRA Commissioner General Thomas Doe Nah thanked USAID-Liberia and the RG3 for their contribution, adding that the equipment will help improve LRA’s operation in serving the Liberian people better than in previous situations.Alexander Kitain, RG3 Project Chief of Party (CoP), said that the LRA has made significant progress in improving tax policies and procedures through its services rendered to taxpayers over the years.Kitain named the launch of the e-filling payment platform and the mobile money tax payment service as key achievements of the RG3 partnership with the LRA.Items donated include six pieces of 10 generation servers, an ASA firewall valued at US$180,000.USAID-Liberia, through its RG3 Project, has been working with the LRA, to facilitate its tax modernization processes and activities, the release added.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img read more
