Fiji’s table tennis rep qualify for Rio Olympics

first_imgYee finished third in the Oceania Table Tennis Championship in Bendigo, Australia, to qualify for the Olympics. Yee says his 15-year-old daughter’s achievement is a proud moment for him and the family and it all came down to dedication and commitment to training as well as juggling her schoolwork. “It’s through her hard work that she has qualified for the Olympics. For such a young age, I wasn’t really sure that she would make it or not, but through her training, I believed she would and she did.” Sally Yee is currently training in Melbourne with the rest of the Fiji team and will travel to the Gold Coast for further competitions.(Fijian Table Tennis members (L-R) Phillip Wing, coach Brett Clarke, Alisi Naisau, Grace Yee, Shriti Jeet, Sally Yee.
